Spire Barricade version 1.1 is now online for download! Visit the download page to grab it... it rings in at just over 16 MB. The EXE itself is approximately 110 MB. Be sure and post your comments on the forum!


B.99 will hit dP's Public drive tomorrow (Wednesday) around noon. I've only made a few small changes... mostly just fixes to annoying problems that players were encountering. The survival mode HP bug upon reset, and the +5 gold upon monster's HP reaching zero are foremost in my mind among these.

There have been several requests for the monster's speeds to be halved instead of taken down to one while in range of a slow tower. I tried this idea this evening and it really increased the challenge of the game. I have a ton of bugs to iron out, so this feature will not be a part of B.99, but V1.0 if I can get it up and running by next Monday. Thanks for the input everyone - I think this is heading in a very positive direction!


Spire Barricade is finally nearing the fine-line between Beta and Final. I expect the final to hit the 'net sometime this week, depending on the reports I receive regarding the last line of bugs and balancing issues. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to understand that "Final" doesn't mean I am done with this project. I have received enough support from the community at dP alone to continue this project with patches, and even modifications further down the line.

I am releasing Version B.98 today at Digipen on the Public drive for free access. Anyone who has played Spire Barricade in the past or will be playing this latest version: PLEASE visit the forum for this game frequently (link on menu above) and post comments, suggestions, etc. on the appropriate board. You are welcome to continue to bring me these comments in-person... but I will still ask that you post them on the forum so I can easily check them off as I go. I have posted a list of changes in the latest version on the forum-- please read through them before playing the game.
