RF vs. SoF Results & Next Match - dbh - 05.31.01

 SoF's match against clan RF was an enjoyable one, even though RF faced the infamous shortage of players issue that many clans seem to face these days. Nonetheless, a 4 v 4 match was fought to begin, and the match was finished (beginning at the start of the second round) as a 5 v 5. For whatever reason, clan Resistance Force sent in the wrong score to OGL when reporting the outcome. The reported 20:6 should be 19:3, SoF. I have spoken to Techman (OGL CS Open Central Admin.) about similar issues before, and there is nothing he can do to change this.

SoF's next challenged opponent is clan S7. Currently, SoF is awaiting a response to their challenge.

New Site Design - dbh - 05.24.01

 The Soldiers of Fortune Web-site is now viewable in two different formats: Flash and straight HTML. While taking a bit longer to load, the Flash version of the site looks-- well... more interesting. Also, on a sidenote, the downloads page is still under construction. With the added note that there will be more details, changes and tweaks on this site in the near future, you might call this a Beta.

Since the last update, SoF has received two auto-forfeit wins on the OGL CS Central Open ladder. Both clans challenged, OcF and Toy Soldiers, did not accept/decline the challenge within the 48 hour limit.

Just before this update, clan Resistant Force was challenged. Hopefully, SoF will receive better results from this one!

GFA Match & OcF Match - dbh - 05.18.01

 Earlier this week, GFA and SoF battled it out on cs_militia. After a well-fought match, SoF came out ahead with a final score: 22:3. Team Meat Central, upon being challenged by SoF, declined. Thus, SoF, currently ranked 57 on OGL Central Open, is awaiting confirmation from clan OcF regarding their next match.

Match with Omega Force Friday - dbh - 05.07.01

 This coming Friday, the 11th, SoF and Omega Force will be dueling it out near the homelands of the ancient Romans: Italy. OF, a European clan, can be found @ http://of.8m.net. More info as it comes...

MA vs. SoF - dbh - 05.06.01

 SoF's third match took place yesterday against the clan, MA, or Mother's Angels. I have added a screenshot (score at the end of tiebreaker) of this match to the matches page. In the future I hope to add several screens, with the addition of a demo or two. The final score from this match was 18:14.

SoF Plays BuDGoDs - dbh - 04.25.01

 SoF's first OGL match took place yesterday with BuDGoDs on cs_italy. I personally commend BuDGoDs for sticking through the match to the end-- after only having 3 players show up to start, and having to use two non-clan subs to fill in, they did admirably and took the match well. The final score was 29:4, SoF. Great game, BuDGoDs, we hope to see you guys again in the CS world.

SoF Joins OGL Central Ladder - dbh - 04.17.01

 Finally we have finished discussion and are preparing the roster to begin our adventure on OGL Central. Currently waiting to fill the team roster, once done we will begin challenging and (hopefully) moving our way up the ladder. Wonder what's at the top...
